Stones Taro is a DJ / producer, based in Kyoto, Japan. He began his career in 2014 and has been active in the local Kyoto scene, with some of the best releases from around the world, mainly in the UK.  Inspired by 90s NY House, UKG, and jungle, his tracks are unique and classic.

Scott Robertson knows how to entertain any kind of dance floor. The Naarm based left-of-centre DJ seamlessly skips between generations with an always inquisitive ear. His weird and wonderful take on electronic music brings the listener into foreign waters, igniting curiosity & analysis.

The mix he has served up for us is far more than a collection of dance tunes. It is a genre-bending excursion through primitive sounding electronics & raw analog textures filled with distant tribal echos heard from the deepest of caverns.

For our 19th instalment of our Inner Sound segment Fka Obi has put together a beautiful mix showcasing his talent - weaving through Ambient / IDM & experimental genres in a way that immerses you for the whole 60 minutes 

Fka Obi is an incredibly talented new comer to the Naarm scene, having previously been an established DJ and promoter in Kaurna Land (Adelaide) for the last two years. Since moving to Melbourne at the beginning of this year,  he has been behind the bar at one of Melbourne’s most atmospheric wine / listening bars - waxflower. During lockdown he has been utilising his time to work on his own productions, naturally consolidating himself as an important part of Melbourne’s music circle.

In this ~60 minute mix we are reminded of the dancefloors that we love, the connections they create and the music that brings us straight to the ground, knees bent and arms flailing. Think cheeky drum and bass, oozy dubstep, left-field techno and silly IDM. In this Daisy Records mix we forget about lockdown and take you back to the dark and murky dancefloors we all miss so dearly.

Record collector, chef, and explorer of all good things in life, Herrera / Abraham searches for music with meaningful stories and heart at its core. His passion for music comes from being exposed to a lot of Guachinches back in the Canary Islands, where his parents would play live music at these wine-tasting parties with other musicians. Throughout the years, he has consistently evolved his taste, finding respite in genres such as jazz, ambient, experimental and live instrumental music from all parts of the world.

For this mix he has put together a selection of some of his favourite musicians and artists. People that have inspired him to share his passion for music with others and that has shaped his musical education journey.

They're also the hosts of the radio show Deep Digging in the independent Kiss FM radio station, bringing their loved old and new music discoveries to Melbourne and abroad every Saturday morning.

We are proud to present our very first V/A featuring nine incredible local and internationally based producers. A compilation that holds no genre but lots of weight, the aim and purpose of our first release was to give complete control to each artist who contributed to this compilation. Resulting in a balanced, yet genre bending flow from track to track creating what appears to be a perfectly premeditated body of work from start to finish - mixing through ambient and downtempo textures, dubby inspired breaks,  house & darker tones seamlessly.
