!A new Oakland based label called Joog Music enters the scene with a 20 track VA "For the Low (End Lovers)" featuring international players repping 160bpm club music. Today we premiere "Myn3," a melodic RnB flavored footwork jungle number from SlowRolla.
Haling from the Albuquerque club scene, Slowrolla has been pushing a variety of 160bpm oriented styles, heavily taking influences from footwork, juke, and jungle. 
This compilation includes integral members of the 160bpm loving community like  EQ Why, Noizy Wilson, SomeJerk,  Juke Ellington, Fourtwenty Sound, and exciting new players like Slinki, and Neekeetone Selecta. Out August 4th, follow the link in comments to pre-order!

"When we started Joog we made it a point to include some SICK Jungle from friends around the world. We admit that we have been slipping away from our breaky roots! For our latest release, we got a special collection of Jungle tunes from DJ Airwalk. This young producer is coming in red hot out of Columbus, Ohio! He is full of life and beaming with good vibes. His album showcases his thorough understanding of Jungle music, intelligent and way beyond! The atmospheric pads on the opening track “In a Coma” hug and hold you in a way that will give you warmth on the coldest night. The breaks filter in before a delayed drum slice echos in a room shaped by gorgeous pads. The euphoric release that comes with the drum breaks and bassline only hits harder when the amens come into the track. This sense of push and pull is a consistent element through the album that really takes your breath away at times. The album flows like a river, with varying runoffs that could take you anywhere. Have no fear, DJ Airwalk is here to take you on a ride. His lush textures, militant choppage, and tasteful use of foley is gonna do some serious damage to any dancefloor these tracks hit!"

Joog Salad w/ SlowRolla, DJ Airwalk and Fourtwenty Sound (*Oakland) - 03-Apr-24

Also known as Seekit, @mostf0wlmusic hits the scene with narrative driven jungle. Life is so chaotic and remains as busy as ever for a lot of us, this album reminds you to stop and smell the breaks. Sometimes you gotta bounce to a bassline and get swept away in a virtual world for a minute before we fall back into whatever the day needs from us. Mostf0wl draws from classic jungle textures crossed with a sound palette that reminds him of sci-fi movies he grew up on. Inspired by a story in his head about a shadowy space heist gone wrong, Mostf0wl takes us on a ride. Our main characters break out of jail with the power of amens and gather at the meet point blasting off into hyperspace. Subterfuge is meant to be a complete listening experience similar to a video game soundtrack. This album feels like perfect background music for exploring an uncharted virtual open world running on a jailbroken PS2.
