„Waiting for NACHTIVILLE“ welcomes Amsterdam‘s dancefloor weapon KI/KI @ki_slash_ki Build from her strong residency at Amsterdam's most celebrated queer parties „Spielraum“ - KI/KI brought her energy to Weißenhäuser Strand, with her multi-layer vision of techno, a melting pot from trance, acid and 90s rave music. Cool tunes inside, against the rising heat outside. And with more and more clubs opening up all over Europe, we are looking forward to our get together in January. We can't wait to stand in the water with you among the plastic palm trees and listen to great artists like KI/KI.

Waiting for NACHTIVILLE

@mamasnake is at the heart of Copenhagen's blistering techno scene. She plays with a serious amount of speed and showcased that as far back as 2018 when she played for Boiler Room at our Amsterdam festival. But she is also a qualified surgeon, co-founder of Amniote Editions and curator who oversees the release of music, posters, videos and t-shirts. She prefers to keep a low profile and operate in darkened spaces at the dead of night, but with her at the controls, there is no finer place to be. 

Mama Snake's supple and sublime sound is a mix of sleek techno and uplifting trance. She plays with a tight and technical mixing style and can make you fall in love with tracks you didn't even know you liked. On this week's mix, she charges through kinetic beats and slithering synths that never let up, but never get stuck in a rut. There is always a breakdown to reset the mood, a dreamy lead to take your mind away or a vocal latch on to. They say that speed kills, but when it comes to Mama Snake, speed thrills.

Julian Muller’s progression into the techno scene has been marked by an eclectic odyssey through genre-defying soundscapes.

Hailing from France, via Berlin and now currently based in Brussels, he crafted his sonic aesthetic as a vinyl selector and has since produced his own signature sound that has led to the release of his debut album alongside precious releases on notable imprints KAOS and A.R.TS.

Julian just launched his own imprint : NALI,  with the aim to push his vision and creative spirit to support artists to grow within the strength of a unique creative platform.

Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Daria Kolosova was one of the brightest stars of Kyiv's incredible techno scene, when the city was among the best places for the genre anywhere in the world (and remains so, even under duress). Now living in Berlin, Kolosova's style and sound feel both timeless and progressive. She's been DJing since she was a teenager—after falling in love with dance music via her dad's collection—and has built up a style that has taken her to the world's most renowned techno clubs and festivals.

In spite of her popularity, Kolosova does things differently to many of her peers. She's spoken about her respect for and recognition of techno's origins, and her DJing style pays homage to the genre's history. Her sets span eras and continents, with a '90s bent that encompasses not just hard, rolling techno but breakbeats, electro, IDM and prog. Her RA Podcast is a brilliant collection of old and new, from Goa trance to Julia Govor, expertly mixed with a storyteller's hand.
