Day 2 of the 21 day composition challenge. Decided to write a small intimate harp lick. Was imagining this to be the backdrop to a minimalist title screen where the lick plays when the game opens and then continues to loop the rain ambience afterwards.

Tried approaching my composition process a little different today. I started with recording a general idea for the melody along to the metronome with my voice and then transcribing that. It turned out to work pretty well so I'm definitely thinking of using that again. There have been too many times I have forgotten a melodic idea by the time I've gotten the first half of it written.

The goal for this project was to emulate the various musical selections of a "Call of Duty style" soundtrack. Opening with a "menu" theme that transitions into a subdued "lobby" theme. The lobby theme then raises intensity, representing the music that would start to signify the round coming to an end. This fades away, bringing in the score screen music as the game comes to an end.
