Dálach has been on the irish folk scene in the Czech Republic for several years. We play Irish songs and instrumental sets mostly in "traditional" way, not copying any famous Irish bands but create our own instrumental sets and songs are also often sung in the traditional sean-nos style. Our sets inspiration is often taken from old archive recordings.

The origin of a band's name comes from an old irish word "dálach". There are various meanings of it – "a weekday" or "holding assemblies, frequenting assemblies" are the most mentioned.
The band was formed in 2009 in Brno, Czech Republic. Current members are Michaela Riedlová (vocals, guitar),  Adam Smaza (guitar, bouzouki), Matúš Smolko (flute, whistles) and Ondřej Volčík (fiddle).
