PICASSO

These tracks weren’t perfectly recorded or mastered, they’re rough ideas and experiments from around 2022. Most of them were written during the corona period under drugs, when I was just creating freely and trying new things.

I used a bit of AI to help finish some of the songs, though a few mixes don’t blend perfectly. I’m not changing much, this is how they came together, and that’s part of their story.

Most of the rhythm guitars, bass grooves, and drum beats are real performances. All the drum and bass sounds were produced in FL Studio, mixing live energy with digital production.

KYLIE 💔

I was inspired by the Woman of Valour acrostic poem in Proverbs 31, but I have changed the words considerably, to make it more about an indigenous shamanic tribal woman. Plus I mixed in some shamanic drumming and also a field recording of a woman chanting at a fire ceremony.

Everything has always been here; perhaps it was only arranged differently.
Nothing has ever been lost, as in the moment it happened, it eternally shaped us.
"Otto Vite" (Eight Lives) delves into the mysterious permanence of love in the never-ending current of life. The Album seals frames of one's life story, in a mosaic built on metaphors, behaviours, memories, people, and gestures. The Record is structured in a way that each track films a discrete segment of life: describing an object, a person, or a feeling, and at the same time deepening a different connotation on the meaning of love, while remarking its foundation as the only permanent sublayer of an ever-changing world. The objective is to focus on the moment and its details, to understand that love is always before our eyes. And the rule is to mix things up, with the intention of putting them back together, in a configuration that makes us understand that we have always been. "Otto Vite" is an Album that, in some way, tributes the people who made me feel something, some kind of hope, a feeling of understanding, soft vibrations, those rare breathing moments in which our feet are grounded to earth, and we feel we are where we are meant to be.

A therapeutic journey into a mix of jazz, classical, and a blend of types of electronica.  And a wry, gradual observation that promotion tends to only go as far as you push it.  At least I make my fellow musicians laugh a little.
