My new project with the missus. Started during the Pandemic lockdown, Spring of 2020, we started writing songs about isolation and uncertainties while looking skyward. "Cloudchaser" was one of them and one of my personal favorites.

Here's an oldie. Inspired by long walks along the Marina in our old stomping grounds in Richmond, California, we recorded this in early 2013. Thinking about it now, those walks were during the winter days, brrrr!

Sometime around 1999 or 2000, Allan invited me to join Soft Pillow Kisses to play keyboards. This was right before we went into the studio for the Mutual Admiration Society compilation. We recorded more songs afterwards - some in Tracks, Pasig (most were included in the Shoegaze Pilipinas collection Waiting For Your Words that can be downloaded here: https://shoegazepilipinas.bandcamp.com/album/waiting-for-your-words-early-recordings-2000-2002) and a few more in one of the Star Records studios.

One of the songs from the latter sessions was this version of "Bathing In The Sun". Soft Pillow Kisses in this recording were: Allan Montero (guitars and vocals), Eloha Laurel (vocals), AJ Domingo (guitars), myself (keyboards), Lara Agulto (bass and backing vocals), and Gilbert Magat (drums).

This was recorded (in one take so forgive the sloppiness), in my bedroom in Valenzuela with my brother Ryan (Sodajerk, Apple Orchard, Golden Teardrops, The Umbrella Puzzles), my cousin Ian (Virginia Aeroplane), my friend Jojo (Joaquin Esquivel, Moscow Olympics, She Came To Stay) and engineered by Ron (Sonnet LVIII).

This is the opening track from the lost Dorian Of Juniper Bells cassette EP, Belatedly and I think it's the first song we recorded too. There's a Virginia Astley reference on this one. Now I'm not sure if this was the track that was played on Groove Nation Sessions on NU 107. Requested by epilobii.

This is a Watoo Watoo cover meant for a tribute album. We've been fans of the Bordeux band since their 1999 EP Picture Of A Lost Friend out of Radio Khartoum. Michaël reached out a few years ago and asked if we'd like to participate in the tribute record and of course we said "Oui!". The concept was for each cover to use one or two original stems. We used the drum stems from "Je Tourne En Rond", had the lyrics translated into English and voila!

Dorian Of Juniper Bells was Jojo, Ryan and myself. We have recorded and released a cassette EP, which included an earlier version of "Small Town". We re-recorded the song in 2000/ 2001 for Definition Records' Mutual Admiration Society compilation. This is that version.

That Lingering Feeling was a band I formed with my then-girlfriend/ now-wife, Connie Francis. We experimented on some electronica elements for this song - "First Light", released as an online single in 2011.
