Ethereal vocals, soaring saxophone, nature recordings, acoustic twiddles & synth forays - Daley Road is the brainchild of James Kelly (The Tipsy Scholars) and Hugo Lee (Icehouse), friends from the ANU School of Music living in Naarm/Melbourne.

A warm blanket on a rainy day, Daley Road sets out to nourish the soul following their maxim “create what you wish to experience”.

Drawing inspiration from acts such as Bon Iver, Novo Amor and Vancouver Sleep Clinic, this folktronica duo have been crafting a folky blend of subtle textures, field recordings, lo-fi beats and their signature weaving of sax & vocals.

No strangers to the scene, these two have been heavily involved in sharing sounds for many years:
James has toured throughout the country and internationally as songwriter & lead vocalist for Indie-Folk outfit The Tipsy Scholars as well as being an award-winning visual artist.
Hugo plays Saxophone and Keyboards with Icehouse and has graced stages/studios with a wide range of acts including Riley Pearce, Andrew Farriss (INXS), Hayden Calnin, Holy Holy & Woodlock.
