Being a follower of Jesus is hard. The world will fight against you. There are times when you will be utterly confused. There are times when you will mess it all up. That was me and my friends, but Jesus believed in us.

Jesus had come to save the world and he had done just that. His death wasn’t enough. His resurrection sealed it all. Satan had lost and death was arrested and because Jesus died for us, we can live forever with him.
This is Easter. This is The Good news. Jesus died for you no matter what the sin. Will you receive him today?

So, as we leave this place today, let's not leave this hope behind. Let's carry it with us, let's live it out, let's share it with others. Let's be people of hope, people who reflect the goodness and love of God in everything we do.

Hope is Rising

Making the decision to follow Jesus means to look at life the way God does and to do what he wants. We gain the right view on material goods when we see them the way God does. The more we think about the world around us the way God does, the more we will live the way He wants us to live. We must not become too attached to the things of this world. We should have as little desire for this world as a dead person would have. The Christian's real home is where Christ lives. This truth gives us a different view on our lives here on earth.

Life with Christ

In your everyday life, you face decisions constantly. It’s amazing how many decisions you must make, most of them small, some of them with large consequences. You should know that there are influences out there trying to convince you to make the wrong decision.

Decisions and Obeying God

God’s word is rich with promises and assurances of His love, protection, and faithfulness. Whether we are delighting in His law, finding refuge under His wings, or walking through the darkest valleys, we can trust that He is with us, guiding, protecting, and loving us every step of the way.

May we be a people who walk in the light of God's presence, experiencing the joy, guidance, transformation, and call to live out our faith every day. May we live each day in the light of God's presence, being transformed by His truth and sharing His love with the world.

Embracing our freedom in Christ means living a life that honors God, serves others, and shines brightly for the world to see. As we walk in this freedom, let us remember the words of Jesus, Paul, Peter, and Matthew, using our liberty not for self-indulgence but for the glory of God and the good of others.
