Scampton Airshow F16 Falcon Gismo Flypasts Binaural 10/09/17

Fascinating environmental 'ripple slap' echo of gunshots heard at a distance being reflected off a strip of woodland. As the sound wave of the gunshot passes into and through the woodland a kind of 'ripple slap' echo is reflected from each tree trunk with the sound moving across the woodland. These shots only happened randomly and the four shots on the recording took around 50 minutes to record. The first two caught me by surprise as I was walking across the field and a wind generator was nearby. The second two shots were recorded roughly in the location in the picture and the rustle of the maize leaves in the wind can be heard.
