Performed at the University of Utah in collaboration with Utah State University - March 17, 2025

This "Meditation" is written for any number of any instruments and is inspired by a literal practice of meditation. The score consists of musical fragments and a set of rules determining how those fragments should be repeated and combined. The rules are fairly loose, and performer freedom and experimentation are encouraged. Ultimately, the fragments are something like Lego blocks for the ensemble to play with.
