Over the past two decades, popular rock guitar virtuoso Dallas Perkins has pushed the envelope like no one else, delving deeply into uncharted waters and opening our ears to exciting, diverse new musical horizons.

While always keeping it on “11”, Dallas’ music embraces unconventional ideas and strong musical & emotional dynamics. Translated on guitar with stunning technical accuracy, Dallas’ unique style mesmerizes both critics and audiences alike - in the recording studio and on stage.

Originally hailing from Pittsburgh (with former roommate Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big), Dallas found success at an early age. He won “Best Rock Guitarist” in the first annual Florida Music Awards. In addition, his debut release “Looking Glass” was hailed by critics in Guitar, Guitar World, and Guitar for the Practicing Musician magazines.

These events led to great demand for Dallas’ talents, and he soon found himself booking numerous live and session gigs (Roxx Gang, The Zeros) and instructing many superstar “guitar hero” students including Obituary’s James Murphy and Nocturnus’ Mike Davis. Dallas also taught and gave clinics at the famed Musician’s Institute in Hollywood as well as National Guitar Workshop, including teaching co-clinics with Testament’s Alex Skolnik.

Dallas continues to perform live and release acclaimed solo CD’s (including 2000’s breakout smash Emergent Behavior), as well as working on sessions with musical icons including Chip Z’Nuff (Adler’s Appetite, Enuff Z’Nuff).

Never missing a beat, Dallas’ current release Unbecoming features a ground breaking collaboration with producer/engineer Neil Citron, widely acclaimed for his work with Steve Vai (David Lee Roth, Frank Zappa), Steve Lukather (Toto), and guitar legend Larry Carlton. The result of this collaboration is nothing short of spectacular.

Also, while always on the hunt for new talent and new forms of musical expression, Dallas created the popular Fretboard Alchemy, a monthly showcase featuring Southern California’s most talented and progressive emerging guitar talent performing live at venues throughout Los Angeles.

Dallas can currently be found conducting a long-running series of guitar clinics for PRS Guitars nationwide to coincide with the release of his next all instrumental record, due to hit shelves this fall.
