German act Rezident delivers a stunning rework of Ben Böhmer’s standout single ‘Erase’ with British singer and producer lau.ra. 

Ben Böhmer and his sophomore album ‘Begin Again’ are becoming fast favourites staple in the world of electronic music. The album has accumulated over 40m streams, and Ben has sold out all dates on his 30-date headline tour, with a total of 35,000 tickets purchased. His stellar run continues as he takes to the festival circuit this summer, appearing at renowned festivals such as Junction 2, Rock In Rio, EDC Las Vegas and îLESONIQ. 

Rezident, who has supported Ben on the European leg of his album tour, now rewords one of the most loved singles from the album. His remix of ‘Erase’ maintains the dreamy and atmospheric sounds of the original, whilst adding an upbeat energy that acts as a perfect counterpoint to lau.ra’s dreamy vocals.

‘Erase’ (Rezident Remix) is out on Anjunadeep on May 25, ahead of the full ‘Begin Again (Remixed)’ package, which is available to pre-order now, ahead of its release on June 15.

Anjunadeep welcomes Berlin-based producer and live act Nils Hoffmann to the label with his first standalone release ‘9 Days / Cranes’. He debuted on Anjunadeep in 2019, collaborating with Ben Böhmer and Malou on standout single ‘Breathing’ which has amassed over 25 million streams to date, and gained support on BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM and Sunshine Live.

One of the most exciting up-and-coming electronic artists, Nils has released on labels including Poesie Musik, Counter Records, Bitbird and Ton Töpferei, gaining support from tastemakers including Diplo, Bob Moses, Pete Tong and Kaskade.

First heard on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 13, ‘9 Days’ features vocals from South African vocalist Julia Church. Julia is well known for her feature on Lane 8’s stunning track ‘Oh, Miles’ which has racked up over 15 million streams and gained support on SiriusXM and Kiss FM. ‘Cranes’ is a collaborative cut with Swiss producer and songwriter Natascha Polké, who’s recently released on This Never Happened and Definition:Music. The pair demonstrate a palpable chemistry as producers, intertwining lush chords and carefully-crafted synths to great effect.

Berlin-based producer and live act Nils Hoffmann returns to Anjunadeep with new single ‘Let Me Go’, featuring TENDER. The single is paired with the announcement of his sophomore album ‘A Radiant Sign’, out September 2nd.

The album marks the beginning of a new chapter for the 26-year-old up-and-comer. Finding himself going through a transitional stage in his life, Nils used the album to help him escape and give him hope in uncertain times.

“The album is about new beginnings, and represents the beautiful results that can come from fighting through difficult circumstances. I wanted to give people a collection of music that they can be absorbed by; giving them the hope and faith to keep going through the twists and turns of life. While writing the album, I realised that challenging situations do eventually come to an end, and while facing those challenges, it’s best to look ahead. That’s what ‘A Radiant Sign’ stands for.”

Having started releasing music and touring the world at the young age of 16, Nils already has a wealth of experience to call upon. Drawing musical inspiration from artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Ólafur Arnalds and Stephan Bodzin, Nils showcases his masterful melodic house productions over the 13 tracks of ‘A Radiant Sign’. From the intertwining synths in ‘Let Me Go’, to the hard hitting drums in ‘Tiderays’, and the ambient textures in ‘A Radiant Sign’, Nils blends meticulously crafted electronic elements, with vocals and organic sounds throughout.

‘A Radiant Sign’ features a broad range of collaborations, including electronic duo TENDER, South African vocalist Julia Church, singer-songwriter Panama, acclaimed Australian songstress Gordi, London artist bailey, ‘Breathing’ vocalist Malou, UK duo Hi Frisco, and renowned neo-classical composer Niklas Paschburg.

‘Let Me Go’ follows on from Nils’ recent Anjunadeep double A-side ‘9 Days / Cranes’, the former of which features on the upcoming album, and ‘Breathing’, his smash-hit collaboration with Ben Böhmer and Malou. ‘Breathing’ has so far amassed over 30M streams to date, and gained support from BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM and Sunshine Live. Nils Hoffmann teams up with Australian singer-songwriter Panama for the next single ‘Far Behind’. Taken from Nils’ forthcoming album ‘A Radiant Sign’, out September 2 on Anjunadeep.

Opening with Panama’s dreamy vocals, Nils gradually layers atmospheric chords with a bright plucked synth, culminating in a rich, warm production that epitomises his sound. Berlin based producer and live artist Ben Böhmer has risen through the Anjunadeep ranks to become a breakout star of the past 18 months, amassing almost 40 million streams, picking up BBC Radio 1 support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, including an ‘Essential New Tune’, and being featured in Billboard’s ‘Ones To Watch’. 

In addition to running his own fledgling label Tön Töpferei, Ben has put out singles on Anjunadeep and acclaimed remixes for Monolink and Jan Blomqvist, both of whom now feature on Ben’s debut LP.

Ben’s early releases on tastemaker labels Bade and Keller drew comparison to revered producers Recondite and Francesco Tristano - dark tracks dotted with classical influence, featuring haunting piano lines and discordant strings. Not long afterwards, Ben lost a close family member, and both his life and his music changed course. 

Whilst overcoming this loss, Ben found solace in music. 

The moody and reflective sounds of Ben’s early work made way for brighter and more melodic music, keeping the depth and texture, but changing the tone from darkness to light. Finding a sense of hope and optimism in uplifting emotions and euphoric melodies, Ben's debut album ‘Breathing’ marks the closing of a chapter in Ben’s life, the culmination of a period of heartache and recovery, and a coming of age as an artist.  

Opening track ‘In Memoriam’ is an emotive tribute, blending powerful strings with stirring vocal samples. Title track and lead single ‘Breathing’ with collaborators Nils Hoffmann and Malou follows. A long-awaited highlight in Ben’s live shows over the past year, 'Breathing' layers Malou’s delicate voice above swung percussion and hard-hitting synths.

An avid collaborator, Ben is also joined on the album by two further breakout German stars, vocalist Monolink who features on ‘Black Hole’ and multi-instrumentalist Jan Blomqvist who lends his vocals to ‘Decade’. 

Through the album Ben explores a range of emotions, from the hopeful ‘Hunting’ with Jonah, to energetic instrumental ‘Maelstrom’ through to the hard-hitting ‘Wall Of Strings, which samples The Cinematic Orchestra. 

Following the release of the album in November, Ben will be taking his live show on an extensive world tour - dates and information to be revealed in the coming months.

‘Breathing’ is available to pre-order now, digitally, on CD and on limited edition 2x12” white vinyl, due for release 22 November 2019.

Tim Engelhardt's 2020 album 'Idiosynkrasia' felt cinematic in form and orchestral in structure, catalysing deep breaths, reflection and a different way of thinking by way of its genre-bending narrative. Now, some of the long-players most precious and tender moments get reinterpreted by a stellar cast of artists, no doubt with the intimate physicality of dancing bodies in mind. The result is a killer package of three versatile cuts that, while each setting a contrast to their source material, amplify different sides of a feeling Tim's work naturally encapsulated – the flow-state. 

Melodic luminary Rodriguez Jr. reimagines the album's introspective opener 'Attached' as a progressive masterclass of deeply engulfing bass, gently cascading synths and hopeful piano variations, showcasing his one-of-a-kind grasp of subtle euphoria. In andhim's hands, the title-track 'Idiosynkrasia' then gets the b-boy treatment as the duo beef-up the original's breakbeat-driven lowend and flip Tim's idiosyncratic melodies on their head by adding a healthy dose of funk. Last but not least, Sam Shure strips 'Touch the Sky' of its organic feel, expertly rethreading Hannah Noelle's stunning vocals into a pressure-cooker of a club track.
