This is the first song that I wrote my own parts to including the initial concept and drum parts. The first version of it was recorded on a four track on my father and stepmother's property. Joe T(Muffin)had written the whole piano part prior, so I wrote some lyrics to it and later figured it out on the drums. Initially, Mikey played the rhythm with two logs and micd his acoustic into the four track.
We (#TheLuxuryFlats)continued working on it for a summer, and it was then produced by #KennySiegal @OldSoulStudios in Catskill NY,  engineered by Tom Shick, and mastered by Fred Kavorkian @AvatarStudios.
There's a little too much reverb on it in my opinion, but overall awesome job everyone. 
This song is Track #10 on #TheLuxuryFlats first full length #WrongSideoftheCapStand. We self released the album and toured the country with it. We had an amazing time touring and performing our songs in Hudson, NY and across the #USofA for several years.

I'm getting the full story on this one ;)but I believe it was written on the pack porch of Mayo's house or the Spook Rock house. 
Joe Terry aka #TheMuffinMan wrote it and sings the lead, Mikey plays the mrdanga and sings back up, Damara Rose plays violin and sings back up, Joe V plays the conga.

Damara Rose wrote this song in 2010 on guitar and then moved it over to Nord in 2013 so Meismer could play some lovelier guitar parts including that killer guitar solo! 
Damara Rose sings the lead and harmonies.
Josh Meismer sings back and harmonies as well.
Rob Williams plays the drums.
Gabe Shaftlein plays bass.
Tommy Stinson produced the song, and he and Rob mixed it. 

This song is about dating, projection, rejection, expectations, frustrations, being grounded, and letting go.
Its also about a person and figure of speech. 
The character Sorrow is based off of refections I made while dating a friend of mine, but most of him in this song is fictional.

More Or Less Resilience by The Faux Meek (Damara Rose)

This song was written in 2010 by Damara Rose. 
It was written after she meditated on dessert landscapes and lions for weeks, a practice she rotates into meditation whenever her 'heart' feels broken. It is a perspective piece. 

Damara Rose sings lead vocals and plays one of Tommy's guitar's on this recording.
Josh Meismer plays rhythm guitar and sings back up harmony.
