German producer Erik Ellmann makes a strong debut on Esquimau with a refined and radiant entry into the label's catalog-a soulful three-track EP that effortlessly blends deep house sophistication with jazz-infused warmth. 'Suburbs' marks the seventh release on Esquimau, adding another gem to the imprint's growing discography of jazzy, deep, and timeless old-school-inspired sounds. The title track 'Morning Blues' sets the tone with mellow piano progressions layered over a solid drum groove and a subtle walking bassline, firmly rooted in the essence of contemporary deep house. Spacious yet intimate, it's a track made for late-night living rooms or early morning sessions. The second original cut builds on a percussive beat, adding more drive with looping piano motifs and touches of saxophone. Ellmann displays his talent for restraint, allowing the groove to breathe without ever overcrowding the mix. Closing the EP is a standout remix from Shabi, who transforms 'Suburbs' into a classic nudisco-inspired groove, leaning into chord stabs, piano flourishes, and a rolling bassline for maximum floor appeal. It's a tasteful contrast that expands the EP's dynamic range.

Our next release features 2 remixes for DJ Christian B's "Find My Way EP" by 2 artists we've been wanting to work with.

First up we have Discosteps on remix duties for "Find My Way". Discosteps is a French DJ & Producer out of Rouen, France. Passionate about music from an early age, Discosteps blends his love of Disco, Funk and even Afro influences into his productions. He also draws inspiration from his musical and production influences such as Hot Toddy, Sebb Junior, Full Intention, Oliver Dollar & Moon Rocket. He's put together an excellent Deep House remix for Find My Way we're sure you're gonna love.

For "Don't Go" we've asked WAPO Jije of South Africa for his take on Christian's track. WAPO Jije is another talented Deep House artist out of SA we've been wanting to work with. With a slew of releases out on multiple prominent labels out of South Africa, we're happy to have him on board for this project, and we're looking forward to an upcoming original EP with him soon!
