The story of Damballah really goes back to October 2023 when I joined my friend’s blackened thrash band Ultraviolent as the drummer and songwriter but unfortunately split up in February 2024. Late April 2024 I was desperate to create a new band but decided to make it a solo project dubbed Swampwaters but with it only resulted in one five song EP but I didn’t like how it sounded so I shelved it but the stoner metal, black metal, and ambience influences are present on Damballah’s music.

This was a song I recorded in November 17th of 2024 as a tribute to the grunge supergroup Mad Season and this demo kinda developed the whole Damballah sound. It was spread around the Austin metal scene to a very select few now that it’s more available pls enjoy it
