'To close the year I wanted to offer a set from 2021 that meant a lot to me. This was an afterparty at the amazing Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles back in August. I had been on the road for a few weeks playing unreleased music every night but when I got to the venue around 1am that night and saw the queues all the way up the street I knew this was going to be a good one and decided to dig in the crates and pull some special tracks from the last few years for what turned out to be an incredible crowd.  It’s nights like these that reminded me how special my work is and how much I continue to love it, even in the face of such a difficult year.
With this mix I’d like to thank everyone that came out and danced to my music and supported me in 2021.
So let’s raise a glass to another wonderful 12 months of fun and music ahead. Happy New Year!!!'

Everything we knew about live House & Techno was completely blown away during this set as Rodriguez Jr. gave us the performance of a life time. Described by him as "One of the best parties he's ever played", the vibe was on another level, the music was through the roof, and his performance had everyone in a musical frenzy. We all had a feeling that Rodriguez Jr. was going to be the highlight of our Desert Hearts Spring Festival, but we had no idea that he was about to set the bar for every DJ & Performer at our festival moving forward. We’re pleased to announce the launch of The Crosstown Mix Show, a new bi-weekly mix series from Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion. Each episode will feature a different member of the label roster taking us on a mind bending journey of upfront, fresh, exclusive music.

The first instalment comes from Damian Lazarus, who explained more about the series:

'Since the beginning of the lockdown, with the inability for DJs to be heard in clubs, we thought that now was a good time to remind people about the quality of the artists we work with at the label. These mixes are a reminder that the art of DJing is still alive and kicking, even while the dancefloors lie dormant.'

The Crosstown Mix Show 001 sets the standard, with the focus on unreleased forward thinking tracks. Deep and twisted electronic music, to be enjoyed both in your head and in your home, a perfect selection also for a dance.
