Damion Coppedge is a chess aficionado content creator. Currently, he is a Fellow at Second Chance Studios, where he was selected to be a part of the inaugural cohort focused on helping returning citizens build digital media careers.

Damion is also the Founder of Chessoptics, a platform which inspires others to learn about the intricate analogies between chess and life. Previously, he worked in social media at Aim chess, a fast-growing chess analytics startup powered by AI. His aim is to accelerate chess learning world wide by bridging the intersection between chess and media.


Damion is passionate about the power compelling storytelling has to capture hearts and minds. His goal is to use digital media to explore not only his own story and its relationship to chess, but also various human stories and their many expressions.

Damion is an enthusiastic chess instructor and public speaker who is based in Brooklyn, New York.
