The last couple of years have been huge for Pomo, going from a relatively obscure Canadian producer to releasing his debut EP on HW&W, remixing for the likes of Janet Jackson and Mark Ronson, producing “Am I Wrong?” on Anderson Paak’s debt album and touring the globe with Disclosure as their opening act. 

Bastard Jazz has commissioned Pomo to be next in line for the fourth volume of their "Tempo Dreams" compilation series, following on the heels of the acclaimed Soul Clap compiled Vol. 3. As with other Tempo Dreams records, Pomo has curated a slick and well polished album full of exclusive tracks from friends and collaborators such as Lindsay Lowend, Aloka, Exmag, Syre, Daniel Crawford, FVLCRVM and more.  Touching on the shimmering nudisco sound, plodding deep electronic vibes, funky instrumental hip-hop, and even a hint of drum’n’bass, Tempo Dreams Vol. 4 takes it’s rightful place in the series as one of the most forward thinking compilations showcasing emerging young talent.

It's been almost 1 full year since we last spoke of anything new dropping on the label and it's been months since we last posted anything at all on social media.

Things have changed since then.

Through logo designing sessions, branding brainstorm sessions, and a lot of feedback; growing to find the true reason why Kolossus exist has drastically changed from when we first started.

Kolossus doesn't just mean big. It stands for unity, empowerment, thoughts, ideas, emotion, knowledge, growth and so much more.

The idea to create one big culture comes from the idea to unify all walks of life. To show people's art through a platform that wants to inspire growth, change, knowledge, and perspective.

We weren't doing that before.

Today begins the movement towards a brighter future. A future where inspiration comes from perspective and knowledge is shared through creativity.

Kolossus Kulture Magazine and Kolossus Record's new look and feel seeks to bring people together through their work. Work that's powerful enough to spark conversation, thoughts, ideas, and passion for changing the things around you.

Kolossus no longer seeks to publicize things that are JUST dope, cool, or interesting.

Kolossus is about unification through powerful perspectives on all levels.

This is why Kolossus exist and this is why it will continue to.

28TH is a Future Beats, Trap, R&B, and Jazz influenced artist out of London. He's been a part of the Kolossus team for 3 years now, and his production has been fascinating to watch grow. Collaborating with artists like https://soundcloud.com/luchanashaw, https://soundcloud.com/trgdymusic, @fivefilo, and more, 28TH keeps diversity in close reach by connecting and collaborating with artists who hold not only the same passion and love for music and art as he does, but the selflessness to give back to those he's grown with.

Second track from the compilation comes from Paris based @lafayetteellis.

We first released Lafa's 'Make It Up' as part of our free download series a couple of years ago and new we had to hit him up when putting together this compilation. His track 'Good Intentions' keeps you on your toes, switching up 4 or 5 times and keeping things very interesting.
