Many years ago, I fell in love with a good friend, and I wrote these lyrics in an effort to express my feelings (you do, in your early 20s and such).  Though the feeling ultimately wasn't mutual, the song was well-received, and I've tried several times over the years to give it a better accompaniment than the simple rhythm guitar with which it started, with unsatisfactory results.  Until now.  Play it loud.
