In the words of the band’s mainman and producer Grippa Laybourne - who has previously worked in the studio with a variety of international top acts like Mattafix and Faithless – ‘Gotta Thing’ is “a fast hip-hop house track laced with classic Hempolics’ reggae flavours, the track features Miami rapper Cojack who I linked up with and invited to record the track in my mum’s front room whilst he was in the UK playing basketball for the Tees Valley Mohawks.”
