Riding the high of his latest release “Shade” which dropped on Skrillex’s media outlet Nest HQ last month, Damon Steele has been busy ripping up dance floors across Los Angeles and indoctrinating audiences to his unique blend of funk, house, disco, and hip hop. In his latest effort “Zero Point,” Steele expands upon the sonic palette of “Shade” while paying homage to his long-time love of house music. Taking a more club oriented approach, Steele uses a flurry of carefully selected samples and sound design coupled with his favorite studio weapons, the Prophet 6 and Moog Sub 37, for a fresh and prolific sound all his own. Drawing on inspiration from artists including Purple Disco Machine and Disclosure, “Zero Point” takes aim at the club and hits the mark from start to finish.

Damon Steele is a producer, and solo artist from Salt Lake City, Utah. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2016, Steele has established himself as a formidable force in the city’s fervent music scene. Steele controls dance floors with a vibrant spectrum of urban and electronic music, drawing on influences the world over. Steele’s versatility as a tastemaker has earned him sets at LA hotspots like Sound Nightclub, Exchange, the Highlight Room, and Skybar, international gigs in Berlin and London, and supporting sets for Hoodboi, Mr. Carmack, Matoma, Goldroom, LA Riots, Marques Wyatt, Saint WKND, and Jerry Folk.
