My S.O. had a joint concert coming up, between a brass quintet and a sax quintet... I was asked to write something for both of them, so I did a quick arrangement of one of my favorite tunes from one of my favorite chiptune artists.

For barely getting any practice time (some hadn't seen the piece prior to this recording), I'm happy with how quick they picked it up. I just wanted them to have a fun tune to go out with, and it seems like they all enjoyed it :)

The song is for him, for me and for anyone who has lost someone close to them. Writing it was the only way I could make sense of what I was feeling. Mostly I wish he could have known how much we cared about him, and I feel like I’m telling him every time I sing his song.’
