Ambu Bambu is a Groningen based DJ whose high energy sets rely on breakbeat and electro, while incorporating elements like tongue-in-cheek lyrics, acid synths, heavy percussions, and musical nods to her Chinese heritage. Her quick rise is a manifestation of her unmatched enthusiasm for the scene and the quality of her selections, which haven't gone unnoticed by events and clubs alike. Since her first radio show for Relate Radio, where she has now become a regular, she has played at radio stations across the Netherlands and in Budapest, as well as MISFIT festival, club OOST, and MAXI Utrecht just to name a few. Having been selected recently as one of the winners of Soenda's DJ contest, Ambu Bambu is showing us that the best is yet to come!

,,JUNA is a Cuban/American artist, born and raised in Berlin. Her style is a vibrant fusion of rhythms that are influenced by Techno, House, Trance, and Reggaeton resulting in infectious hard-hitting grooves."

,,I have always been an activist and passionate about giving voice to those who have been systemically silenced throughout history. As an upcoming Cuban/American queer female artist in the music industry, my senses have been forcefully heightened by the glaring fact of how male-dominated club culture is.

Male colleagues/DJs have automatically viewed me by default as lesser-than or a bad DJ since I am a woman before they have even heard me play. I have seen over and over again how I have had to prove myself more than those who identify as men. I have seen that in a room full of artists, male DJs usually stick together and alienate everyone else.

However, I am grateful to the queer community for making me feel safe, the Latinx community for always making me feel at home, the African-American community for creating Techno, and my fellow non-male DJs who move me and whom I continuously learn from.

What drives me to keep pursuing my DJ passion is being continuously inspired by my non-binary and female predecessors in the music industry and culture. They have paved the way for people like me nowadays and created the space for us to be able to have the privilege to play in."

Italian born & London based, Isora cut her teeth mixing in Glasgow, Scotland - doing electro, booty, jungle and hardcore between Glasgow, Edinburgh and now, the dance floors of London. 

Resident at the Booty + Hardcore record label and party starters - Hyperdome Records; as well as EPiKA, an all-female DJ collective based in Edinburgh, a set from Isora always promises to be a belter of a sonic journey, using her ultra technical skills in tandem with an impeccable selection, as well as loving to combine genres, keeping listeners on their toes.

All good sets need to have great pacing, when to build tension, when to let it bang and when to let the music just groove along and also when to make it extra vibey - and Isora is a master of this craft.

"This mix represents letting go of the frustration and the hard journey we experienced since the war started in Ukraine. This is a tribute to remembering the beautiful and careless times we spent one summer in Kyiv. This is the journey of accepting change and being present with the groove in this moment of time.

We are a dj duo - a collaboration from Mars and Sharmeen. Mars is from Ukraine, inspired by the Eastern European punk scene. Sharmeen is from Texas, where she spent time around the industrial electronic scenes in the south. Our sound is fast and experimental. We lean towards futuristic & progressive groovy techno.
