Danny Brown's "Smokin & Drinkin" first appeared on his critically-acclaimed album Old as the debauched peak of Side B, and has since become a staple of his live shows and a true fan favorite. So it's only right that Danny's anthem (produced by Fool's Gold captain A-Trak and JMIKE) gets a summer single of its own on July 22nd 2014, complete with remixes from some of electronic music's biggest names and wildest upstarts. 

Boys Noize strikes first with a frantic blend of breakbeats and rave stabs, while FG newcomer TroyBoi turns in a technicolor trap masterpiece. Jack Beats slow "Smokin" down to a late-night acid house stomp, and Jersey club king DJ Sliink closes the party with a heavy dose of basement bass. The whole package comes wrapped in appropriately psychedelic cover art from Detroit's own underground comics hero, Motorbooty creator Mark Dancey, and will be available on limited edition picture disc vinyl from Fool's Gold later this year.

Beachfreaks 3 is the conclusion (best) of parts 1&2, with some additional finds. 

Dreaming of naked teenagers with long hair laying in trees, endless summers, a mansion underwater, living in a rock at the riviera with sexy mermaids whispering: "We are getting it on and won’t leave before six in the morning!"? About time to treat yourself with Parasol's latest Beachfreaks compilation -an anticipated new mix of hairy freaked-out psychedelic pop from the 1970s. This mix was undusted and pieced together by Parasol Island's creative director and hardcore collectore Charles Bals. Most of the obscure bondfire disco tracks came from ungoogleable vinyl singles, salvaged from the far reaches of a sunken Europe underground disco culture, and available through his online store Cosmic Dudes. So bring the banana lounge, shades and beach ball and follow us to the endless summer!

"Through a heavy stream of records on labels like Opal Tapes, Aught Void, and her own tape imprint Summer Isle, Rita Mikhael aka E-Saggila has successfully carved out a distinctive niche for herself over recent years. Rita Mikhael’s work attempts to dismantle the lines between the often guarded genres of techno to industrial, with aims to create new work and space within them. The Iraq-born, Toronto-based producer’s re-imagining of marked tropes in industrial, techno, power electronics and noise surfaces as a refined embodiment of sounds, amassed within her EPs and several albums. Her tastes are further reflected in running the label Summer Isle with Max Klebanoff aka Death Kneel over the last four years, where their output has included the likes of Nick Klein and Jaclyn Kendall, to hardcore bands like Chlorine, showcasing a clearly defined sonic and visual aesthetic. Running specifically as a cassette label, the physical limitations have driven their sound and style."
