The Lithuanian began his musical journey back in 2008, which led him to establish the currently longest house music series running in the country “Tarp Dvieju Ausru” which has established itself as a pillar for bringing groove and such artists as: Cromby, Spencer Parker, Sedef Adasi, Shanti Celeste, Peach, Cinthie, Leon Vynehall, Moxie, and many more. This led to a well-renowned party residency at “Lizdas” club in Kaunas.

Sharing the decks with iconic artists like that guided Mountak to London and Berlin where he played prolifically in such clubs as Prince Charles, Watergate,Wilde Renate, Klunkerkranich, Farbfenseher, About Blank, and many more

Combining House, Italo, and Techy, Breakbeat sounds, Matas stands for everlasting long dancing hours till dawn breaks

"I was thinking about an abandoned space. Maybe somewhere in the outskirts of a small city. A yard full of every possible junk. Dogs running around chewing on car seats and toys by a farmer’s field. It has a nostalgic feeling to me. People drive by places like that. 

It’s not really a village. There is no community. People live there but in a unique lifestyle, not to settle down, but to go through a journey. 
I wanted this mix to be introspective. Something that I would dance to alone in my room, exploring my inner thoughts. It’s like peering through a crack in the wall until the eyes get used to the darkness. I would listen to this mix while getting my fortune read."

If the Mento event series was going to reveal the dark side of Bubble Jam, I knew the crew was mostly made up of loving & sunny souls so I decided to play something definitely trippy, obviously groovin' while trying to keep the pressure on a thin line between light & darkness ƪ(ړײ)‎ƪ​​

Crowd was stunning and I had a wonderful time, so here it is: one of my favorite moments of 2023 behind the decks.
