"Sunrise On Southey Street" is based on a beautiful little place in Kensington (Melbourne), Australia. This street was located a bit above the other buildings in the area, just so the CBD skyline would be visible in the back, a few kilometers away. I used to live in this old, quirky house on the end of Southey Street. One cold morning, I woke up early around 5AM, went outside for a morning walk, and discovered this amazing sunrise over the city skyline of Melbourne, with the tall CBD buildings turning completely red / orange. I remember standing there for an hour, staring into the morning light.

I tried to capture that peaceful feeling with this piece of music.
