I recently finished a large project which had been eating up all of my studio time. I'm happy to be back to a place where I can write and post new music. I started this track quite some time ago. I thought I'd dust it off and finish it to get things rolling again. I think I ended up putting more dust on it.

sometimes i don't feel like being the social kind

i just need some time away, hope you don't mind

i did my time, paid my dues
wiped away my tears, sang my blues
said my goodbyes, some much too late
went to sleep with the devil, woke up a saint

if i could i think i would, get far away so im never found
but then again i don't like flying
so i'll just keep my good foot on the ground

i fought too much, sometimes not enough
tried to smooth out the edges, when its naturally rough
i've buttoned my lip, then yelled so loud
hung my head, then never felt so proud

method: some atonal fun with the plastic midi keyboard on a rainy evening
narration: the poem is quite some decades old - last century, millennium even, and all that. it was quite a different life I led back then. the original title is: "an antenna cast into the open" - this also was the first line when I wrote the poem .... but I skipped it for this version, jettisoning the poem into the imbalance that suits its sonification's atonal qualities.

This little keyboard melody was done hover an improvisation with some bowls I recorded few months ago. I like the textures they provide.  Since then, I got my own bowls and I started to play with.

a piece i did for a dear soul sister's funeral ceremony . This is what i wanted to play but the sitar was knocked over so i had to rapid tune again which is not easy . 
i got the drone back and simply played with love and vibration for my friend Jennifer . forever missed but forever with me . namaste Jennifer .

This song expresses the passing thunderstorm from begining to end. It consists of three parts.
 
 I: Lotus pond
      Lotus flowers are out peacefully in moist air.
 II: The god of thunder and the god of wind
     The sky is gradually covered by heavy clouds. The god of thunder beats drums on his back and the god of wind blasts. They enjoy playing.
 III: The last raindrop
     The thunderstorm has gone. The last raindrop is falling and glittering in the sunshine.
 
 Thunder sounds in this track were not sampled but synthesized.
