How are you I asked a collegue of mine
I happened to meet out in the street
She said with a smile Oh I´m doing just fine
and she stepped away on fast feet
One day later
I heard she threw
Herself in front of a train

Jesus stood in my kitchen door
late one night
I wasn´t surprised at all
I said are you alright?
He looked so lost and said to me

I would really like some company

He asked me if I had some bread
One slice was all I had
That´s enough for me Jesus said
Miracle´s just a piece of cake
And on the kitchen table
There were more bread than you could take

I heard the people were waiting for
Me to return one day (he sighed)
Well, heaven can really be a bore
You get tired to hear the people pray (all day)
One lesson, though, that I have learned
I forgot, when I planned for my return
Miracles are good for baking bread
Waking up the dead
Sure they are
But they don´t work on broken cars

So I walked a mile in the rain
My journey seemed to be in vain
I had lost my way
I began to pray
For anyone to save my…day
Then I saw the light from your window clear
And that fire burning in the oven here
The door stood open I just said hello
to your cat and your goat…or so…

But who are you my gentle man
Jesus took my hand
I´m the Devil I said I know you know me well
I welcome you to hell
I wired my tail around his throat
He was chewed at by my good old goat
As I lowered him into the fire he cried
But why? 
He sighed and whined in pain
I said - never use the car when you can take the train!

And the fire rose to the sky.
