Here’s a little slice of nu-disco blends I slipped in to my mix back on March 11 when I DJ’ed for the weekly fire performer jam at the hARTyard hosted by my dear friend Grace Full here in ATX. By this time the night was winding down and the performers who were still hanging out seemed ok with taking a break from wompy bass beats and grooving with me for a few tunes.

This brief selection is bookended by masterful re-edits of Diana Ross and Sister Sledge by the incredible English-Australian surgeon of disco and soul known as Dr Packer. When I’m playing this kind of music I always try not to play too many of his edits in one set, and I often fail!
