I was born in this town with doughnut shops and discount stores

There are these trees in my backyard that make me want to climb
I stay on the ground, I am afraid of heights...well maybe that's a lie

I never did mind walking through the marsh to get to the other side
Where we once found the high
I remember sitting through campfires and drinking spills
I love this place I'm never gonna leave

I died three mornings before this knife got stuck up inside a dumb fucking dream
I woke to find a little place inside where I seem to keep all my idiosyncrasies

My town may be dirty, scum filled, diseased inside but it's my first love, and it is my life
