After being in Leeds for a year at university it was great to get back home and hit the studio straight away with Mark and Tom after a year since the release of "Move". We started with a lot of ideas that changed the genre and feel of the track with every minute that went by. Later on we hit a nice blend which combined techy drums with heavy techno elements. Decoy [Gareth Emery EFL Radio Rip]

Whilst working on the final touches for a new deep house track I'm doing I began to hit a brick wall, usually I would leave the laptop for a while and come back to it. But after hearing the same track over and over I just had to let out some randomness on a new project to clear my mind, and here is the random "interlude" I created, rough mixdown but meh! Download & enjoy!


Interlude 32 | [Free Track]

So, this is the track I've been talking about finishing for a while! When I started working on it I was really getting into all the dub-techno kind of tracks and found influences from people in that scene. First I was messing around with sustained piano chords which after being thrown into Sampler, turned into the pads that modulate around. Then I created the deep stab chords which (to be honest) were a lot more mellow than I wanted but bleh. As the track went on the drums began to slide back to being techy where as some other elements stayed deep so it's quite a bit of a change that hopefully you'll enjoy!
