HELENA Ep 1

This past visit to the Black Rock Desert in 2023, my wonderful friends at the Groundswell camp invited me to come play a guest set on the Kuker art car. As anybody who knows me can tell you, DJing on art cars and DJing at DeMentha are my two very favourite things to do at TTITD, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity. This was the set I played that Tuesday night in the deep playa. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Hope you enjoy!

Huge thanks to the Groundswell crew for inviting me, especially Esteban and Maggie who orchestrated it, Suave who was crucial in connecting the dots, and Juanito who kept the monster moving! And big shoutouts to the other DJs that night who all played some incredible tunes!

On the eve of St. Paddy's Day, I joined a group of fellow degenerates in a warehouse in the outskirts of SF to throw an epic rager. We had killer sound, awesome lights and lasers, and a highly curated group of attendees, all within two degrees of separation. This EP took me a long time to write, and it comes from a very personal place. Each individual track represents a different aspect of a toxic pattern of behavior that I've found myself in over and over again, while the overall message of the EP focuses on breaking through this cycle and finding healthy new ways to cope with the mysteries of life and love.

Anyway, this one means a lot to me, and I hope it means something to some of you too.

The genre bending, sub rattling, west coast bass slinging Chillage Records is back at it again with it’s 5th Installment of the Crunksauce compilation series. The Northern California based collective has been a fixture in the west coast bass music scene for more than half a decade bringing us delicious bass infused glitch hop, future beats, dubstep, trap and everything in between.

For the first time Chillage Records held open submissions for the Crunksauce compilation, inviting up and coming and established producers to submit their songs for a chance at a spot on the compilation, resulting in 19 tracks of bass heavy goodness from core Chillage members and many new faces adding their own flavor and style to the mix. Chillage Records will be releasing 3 tracks from the compilation a week for the next month a half so do yourself a favor and tune in below for all the bass heavy deliciousness coming your way!
