Hay una leyenda guaraní que cuenta el nacimiento de la flor del Irupé. Según narra, Irupé era una joven muy bella, que amaba a la luna y la veía como un muchacho hermoso. Trepaba a los árboles para extender sus brazos lo más alto que estuviera a su alcance y de esa manera tratar de abrazar a su amor imposible. También subía a montañas y peñascos, todo lo que hiciera falta para conquistarlo. Como nunca llegaba, la joven guaraní enloquecía lentamente.
Una noche, Irupé vio su imagen reflejada en el río y notó que detrás de ella, pero muy cerca, estaba la luna. Se tiró al agua para poder, por fin, tener a su ser amado en los brazos. Se hundió y las corrientes se la llevaron. Nunca más regresó. Tupá, el dios del bien para los guaraníes, se compadeció de ella y la convirtió en una planta con forma de luna, enorme y majestuosa, que siempre mira hacia el cielo, conectándose con su amor ideal. De noche, cuando lo tiene al alcance, guarda sus flores, pero de día, cuando no puede verlo, las despliega para lograr que, al caer la tarde, su amor vuelva por ella, encandilado por su belleza.

The calm pre-dawn with its promise of the new day to come is broken by the sun piercing the horizon.  Light streaks across the sky, kissing all it touches with gold.  Mundane objects are transformed into works of art by the beauty of this first light. Then the majesty and power of the suns slow warming ascent. 

...and yes I went there, I used tubular bells!

I think we all experience stresses today in our changing world .  The music  presented here is both in response and answer:  positive energy to help us on our way.

After The Storm - Calm And Peace

Set back and Let this flow come onto ya ...                                                                        It all began as an impromptu evening visit and morphed into a wonderful evening of musical magic...   
We recorded our Musical Conversations in Tim Elliot's living room with only one middling Microphone an Upright Piano and his Guitar suite, and I'm so glad we did!

Composer/Guitarist @davidjsvensson freely commented, "If the rest of the piece is even close to what the first two minutes were, then this is a masterpiece!!"  

So glad to share the results of this intimate honest and organic Live Jam with you all. I must say that i am looking forward to more such interactions with Tim. And i gotta say, 'Magic is Magic', however much Better one imagines it could have been.  :-D

This is a collaboration between myself and awesome singer songwriter Annie Ray @annie-ray-music . I originally developed this as an instrumental and approached Annie pretty late in the day to develop lyrics and a vocal track, Annie rose to the challenge and delivered this beautifully ethereal vocal performance.
