This is the third Texas Tea song from me and @texmex-shaman that has a super dark eerie mournful vibe to it. We are thinking of them as a kind of trilogy that began with "Got a Light", continued with "Black Coffee" and culminates with this one. Each title is a reference to David Lynch's Twin Peaks. In season 1 or 2 of that show, the main character Agent Cooper says that he takes his coffee "as black as the sky on a moonless night". The mood is kind of appropriate for the weather this time of year, at least in my part of the world!
