Fantasy January 2014

I recently recorded a Tibetan sound bowl. Inspired by that I also recorded a big goldfish bowl and made this track. It's a bit of a collage.

I recorded this in NYC at Clinton Studio A with Bob Rose guitar, Thom Rotella guitar, Pat Rebillot piano, Jay Leonhart bass, Tom Anthony-Strings arrangement (Gene Orloff - Concert Master), Genie Thomas and her children's choir.

Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream

This is an homage to my first synthesizer, the ARP 2600. With the exception of the drum tracks (which use Apple Logic acoustic and electronic drum sounds), all the other tracks are edited versions of the "Sync Seq" preset from Arturia's ARP 2600 plugin (I still miss my original instrument, but this software comes darn close!). This tune is dedicated to the memory of Brian Flahive, my old partner-in-crime in the early synth duo, Ear Food. This updated mix is also dedicated to another fallen synth hero and old friend, Deborah Mays. This track was recorded, edited, and mixed in Apple Logic, using plugins from Waves, Schulz Audio, Valhalla, and iZotope.
