Shelter's Live Series number 18 comes in the unique form of @Youandewan.

Since the release of his first record in 2008, DJ and producer Youandewan has been quietly forging his own idiosyncratic take on house and techno.
Born in Scotland, raised in Yorkshire and living in Berlin since 2013, Ewan Smith's productions blend influences from across the electronic spectrum.

A penchant for deeper shades of introspection works in tandem with a knack for kinetic and club-focused grooves - ably demonstrated by his releases on labels like Voyage, Cabinet, Secretsundaze, Aus Music (home to his 2016 debut long-player There Is No Right Time) and his own The Brane imprint.

DJ sets at clubbing institutions such as fabric, Panorama Bar, Womb and DC10 have seen Ewan mature into a skilled and versatile selector - with a record bag that collects the best bits of vintage UK tech house, acid-laced cruisers and deeper strains of golden-era house and techno.

Here his is in his prime, rocking the Shelter basement last month. 2+ hours of intricate mixing and superb selection, Youandewan everybody... ⚡️⚡️⚡️

For this special anniversary edition of my invite series. I am extremely delighted to welcome Rene Wise on to the show. 

Real name “Andrew Shobeiri” has been making some immense progress within the industry so far. With only 2 years on the professional circuit this talented young artist as managed to do some things only other artists can dream of.

With two outstanding releases on Luke Slaters infamous "Mote Evolver" label, as well as two unforgettable shows at Berlin’s world renounced Berghain. Whilst managing to gain the attention of some the best in the scene. But its well deserved for this passionate producer, Spending hundreds of hours carefully creating his unique sound which is infectious with rhythm and pure groove. His dedication and commitment to the music really speaks for it self. Since his arrival he has managed to maintain and adapt to challenging demand of the industry. In return he has been able to travel internationally showcase his sound as far as South Africa and many others places. 

On this episode i asked Rene about his journey so far and what it’s taken for him to get to the top of his game in such a short period of time. Plus he had contributed a guest mix that will dance you through to the early early hours.

✈ We are delighted to welcome portuguese dj and producer NØRBAK.

Nørbak is Artur Moreira, born is the late nineties, in the North of Portugal. His devotion into making music begins early in his life, and since then, keeps working in his studio, day after day, discovering and developing his own sound, diving into Ambient, Experimental and mainly Techno. 

It all started in 2016 with labels such and Circular Limited and Illegal Alien, where he gave his first steps and since then he has been releasing his music on respected labels such as PoleGroup, Warm Up Recordings, Semantica, Modularz, Affin, Float Records and his sound has developed throughout these years focusing now more on the mental and physical side of Techno, where he finds the most comfort. 

In 2019 he joins the Portuguese independent collective and label Hayes as an active member, where with his label colleagues he’s pushing the new wave of contemporary Techno. 

With appearances in some respected clubs like Tresor, Lux Fragil, Gare Porto and Family Club he also feels supported by some of the most respected artists in the scene like Oscar Mulero, Jonas Kopp, Svreca, Dasha Rush and more. His future can only be brighter than what it is right now, with so many boundaries to achieve, discover, learn and cross.

Vault Sessions #016 - Lewis Fautzi

This year is coming to an end and, despite all that happened in the world, we're amazed to see that the power of music did resist, contributing to relieve the pain as far as possible. Today, we bring you into Noisy, a small city near Paris, where Guillermo Jamas and Jacan had the chance to spin some records during "Mawifamily x La Relève Covid Online Festival" to support and raise funds for all medical staff in France during the pandemic. The festival featured electronic artists and collectives from France and was supported by the local media. On that occasion, the Automatic Writing bosses, which is the home of artists such as Sweely, Charonne, and Gab Jr, had the chance to spin 3+ hours of nasty house and minimal beats, honoring a good cause. Enjoy the moment...

Born and raised in Gera in Germany, Dana Ruh soon found her way to the capital city of Berlin. Since then, she ha been on a constantly evolving musical journey. In the early years, her sound was rooted in techno and landed most often on the label Brouqade Records, which she established in 2007. The label is still running too, and celebrated its 10th Year Birthday Celebration entitled 'Past/Present/Future' that emphatically encapsulated all that's great about the label. 
Aside from Brouqade, Dana's music has also featured on the liked of Autoreply, Work Them Records, Howl and Underground Quality. It was Jus Ed's label where she released her stunning debut album. 'Naturally' in 2014, an LP that introduced Dana to a whole new audience and showcased her pure house sound with some distinctions. In 2017 she started her new Label 'Cave Recordings' that showcased her wide musical range mainly rooted in House with old school flavor. 
When she isn't busy in the studio crafting textured tracks, Dana is a fine DJ who holds down resident duties at top Berlin space, Club der Visionaere. It is there that she lays down seductive tracks from the worlds of house and techno as well as gems in between. Aside from her beloved CDV, Dana has played in some of the globe's foremost house and techno nightclubs, often alongside some of the scene's prime movers and shakers. 
Despite working in such an over saturated and competitive field, Dana Ruh manages to speak louder and more coherently that most, and for that reason she deserves all the love she gets.
