Steinway artist, Chad Lawson, decided Chopin needed a new introduction. Along with violinist Judy Kang (Lady Gaga, Ryuichi Sakamoto) and cellist Rubin Kodheli (Kanye West, Norah Jones), Lawson has arranged ten Chopin works into a minimalist landscape.

It's a risk editing the "poet of the piano" but one that Chopin would be proud of.

Taking 10 Chopin works, Lawson decided to scale the works down to a minimalist setting. "I knew even if bare-bones, Chopin's works could still be as spellbinding as the original compositions we are so familiar with." says the pianist.

Produced by Chad Lawson & Alejandro Clavijo. Mixed by Stephen Lee Price. Mastered by Michael Graves of Osiris Studios (Atlanta, GA).

So, it was 4am and casual insomnia was kicking in... As usual I had a creative buzz and was messing around on my controller on FL and I came up with this an hour or two later. Anyways... it's completely different from my usual sound. Not everyday hype 140bpm beats I guess? Inspired by SZA and H.E.Rs sound (Kinda)… Well, I've been listening to them a lot recently at the gym on the bike anyway.

It's been a shit week for most of us. Anyway in this period of self isolation and relationships ending... I decided to make a new Drill beat inspired by "Lux Aeterna - Clint Mansell"

My process was "I wonder if I can make a UK drill beat from it of my own..."... so here you go!

Anyway, hope you enjoy. No samples from the original. All done by hand with my trusty Alesis Midi Controller, my dated laptop and my ear.

I always loved the track Buttercup by Carl Anderson. Having listen to it on blast at every family event EVER growing up, it was only right I spend a few hours in solitude and tried to do a little something with it "Dan Can Make Beats" style. (I'm sure my Mum and Aunts will dig this!)

Early Mornings (Instrumental) - Dan Can Make Beats

Decided to write some music based off what I miss about outside. I thought about it and realized that I miss the Panic and dangers that you come across heading to and from a destination. Weather you're using public transportation or driving yourself, There's a certain level of panic involved with people rushing to get to work or to get home. For years I would take the bus and pass car accidents, I hear the sounds of everyday people going to work, Sometimes you'll cross paths with people who are extremely nice and other times you'll come across someone who isn't which to me creates a certain level of Everyday Panic. Yes we pray and hope that we're brought home safe...But some of us aren't so lucky and so My entry reflects the panic that goes into everyday. We've all been in doors and trying to stay as safe as possible. I hope you enjoy this piece of music :)

I'm currently working on a new project, it will be a change in direction from my usual stuff. The theme/ genre will be film score [Or at least my vision] . Inspired by recent events in the world and my personal life. Anyway, here's one of the final tracks. I have no set release date for the project yet unfortunately, but predicted to be around September (This year) sometime.

I've been making music for 21 years. My main DAW is FL Studio. I sometimes rewire to Reason.

Mainly started making beats to tackle panic attacks, depression and general anxiety over the years. I'm mainly a film actor outside of music. I've started to transition into film scoring lately musically.
