David Douglas is a Dutch electronica producer. He released his debut EP “Royal Horticultural Society” in 2012 and released his debut album ‘Moon Observations’ on 22 May. 

Right after the release of 'Moon Observations' on Atomnation, the Utrecht based producer brings a club edit of 'Je Ne Sais Pas', one of the standout tracks of his current live-set. Spanning over 6 minutes, this track is an uptempo blueprint of David's productions - consisting of strong Moog basses, Space Echo-ish dub snares and drums that always have a detailed touch. It's the stunning harmonies though that give David's music signature sound and the best part about it is that it we can provide the track FREE.

The Freshly Composted serie (50, 100, 250, 300) always represents a musical snapshot of Compost Records, bringing together a variety of genres and vibes, all produced by some of the finest artists at the moment.
This “COMPOST 500 – Freshly Composted” episode includes previously unreleased tracks and remixes by Siren, Mark E, Mathias Schaffhäuser, Claudio Ricci & Megablast, SHOW-B, Robinn, Marbert Rocel, Emilie Nana and Compost Allstars (consisting of Christian Prommer, Beanfield’s Jan Krause, Roland Appel and Michael Reinboth) featuring Robert Owens and others.

#2 SOME MICHAEL REINBOTH FAVOURITES
In this chapter, our label head Michael Reinboth picked some of his fave tunes from the Compost back catalogue, including the works of Carl Craig, Âme, John Talabot, Todd Terje, Moonstarr, Jay Shepheard, Beanfield, A Forest Mighty Black and more. Of course there are much more, but those timeless tracks played a significant role in the Compost history.

#3 HIDDEN GEMS
The third chapter of COMPOST 500 points out a selection of top B-sides, secret weapons and undiscovered pearls from the Compost vault. Coming in hot off WhoMadeWho’s Watergate 26 Mix and the first EP following it, we present the second of three EP’s of featured material from the compilation split into vinyl and digital formats. 

Starting with the vinyl instalment we see WhoMadeWho and Ruede Hagelstein kick things off with their elegant and sexy Björk cover ‘Violently Happy’ before the mesmerizing hypnotics of Ruede Hagelstein and Justin Evans’ ‘Love Over Pyramids’ take center stage. With twelve years of production and fifteen years of DJ experience, DAN CASTER is a fountain of musical knowledge, confident enough to let his work as an artist speak for itself. While many are aware of his own releases on Supdub (‘Wunderbar’ and ‘Musica’) and, most recently, Stil vor Talent (‘Bleeding’), his output as a behind-the-scenes producer for Niconé, Sascha Braemer or Rene Bourgeois may come as a pleasant surprise. He contributed to Niconé & Sascha Braemer’s hugely successful ‘Romantic Thrills’ album (2011), for example, while his own remix of ‘Runaway’ feat. Jan Blomqvist’, one of the LP’s highlights, ended up taking the Beatport Deep House charts
by storm. His smash-hit ‘Mama Say’ for Light my Fire then climbed to the top 2 Beatport Nu Disco charts, and remixes for the likes of M.in or Oliver Schories cemented his position in the scene.
After releases on Stil vor Talent and Der Turnbeutel, in 2014 we can look forward to an EP on the Katerholzig Label Katermukke. Just as refined and varied as his production style, Dan’s skills as a DJ are best described as eclectic yet wonderfully coherent and extremely tight. He is a schooled
reader of crowds and thus adepts perfectly to different club scenarios and energy levels, shifting seamlessly from deeper styles of house to techier material – something he proved on his recent podcasts and that is reflected in his impressive booking schedule, which will take Dan to hotspot destinations such as Copenhagen, Kiev, Paris, Zurich or Munich, to name a few.
