Hungry Music has the kind of waterproof musical aesthetic that not many labels with under twenty releases under their belt have. The output is bold and atmospheric at same time. Travels through misty soundscapes are just one of their trademarks. The french label established its sound through a close circle of friends - namely, Worakls, N’to & Joachim Pastor.

It’s now time to let some of the most powerful recent releases get re-interpreted through six exclusive remixes.

The Hungry gang took on each others work and also invited luminaries and friends of the label such as Oliver Koletzki, Einmusik and Boris Brejcha to provide a mix for the first in a series of upcoming remix EPs.

Just as the sun returns to the Northern Hemisphere, Joachim Pastor get’s his Fixi road ready and takes us on a musical trip. Three free floating creations full of musical euphoria and funk filled grooves await! 

Starting off with the carefree “Fixi” track, which is based around a gently played acoustic guitar melody. Spheric effect work escorts feathery pads and strings, while the 4/4 house beat and thumping bassline keep things moving forward on the dancefloor.

Next up is the dreamy “Laos” song. Laid-back, slightly distorted synth and percussion sounds build smooth tension. The energy is fielded by a bright string section and completed by a mellow Marimba melody. 

Joachim is closing of this superb EP with the broken beat anthem “The Same”. A breathtaking field of panoramic sounds evolve over the course of four minutes. Pastor experiments with other worldly vocals and tight broken beats. Pure bliss!

Welcome to yet another spectacular Hungry Music release, where Joachim Pastor invites you to experience his dramatic and melodically super charged techno vibes. Joachim prepared a passionate and well crafted composition entitled "Corsair". 

The track grabs you with its hypnotising chords and pulls you onto the dancefloor with its enormous sub frequencies. Pastor finds the perfect balance between the energetic groove and the many musical elements.

Eclectic French DJ and producer Joris Delacroix marks his first single release of 2020 with ‘Stay’, out 24th April on Hungry Music.
 
An innovative, refined take on trance, ‘Stay’ pairs emotion-drenched euphoria with light, airy synths, creating a track that is both honest and restrained. It follows on from ‘Time To Lose’ , last summer’s similarly stirring Hungry Music debut. Earlier this year Delacroix also remixed ‘Irani’, a single from fellow French artist Teho, and a track from Tinlicker for the iconic Anjunabeats imprint. 
 
“I can’t explain the track’s story exactly but the inspiration is simple and positive,” Joris explains. “The spirit is all about sharing, as I let the public decide the track name to see what the theme means for them.”
 
Growing up in the south of France and playing the piano from a young age, Delacroix grew up immersed in the classic French Touch sound synonymous with the late 90s and early 2000s, before launching a music career of his own with a release on local label Way Of House. He has since released two albums and a slew of singles and EPs, with his trademark sound underlining a unique universe in which electronic and melodic sonorities melt into each other. 

Last year he also pioneered his new SuperSet project, a stage performance containing both live and DJ set elements, that he premiered at Viertel in Basel and at France’s Electroday Festival last summer. More recently Joris won the ‘Best Techno’ category at the annual DJ Mag ‘Best of France’ awards.
 
Looking ahead, Delacroix will perform at Morocco’s Origins Festival and in Toulouse alongside Drumcode affiliate Sam Paganini and fellow Hungry Music artist Joachim Pastor during the summer months.
