Google AI 연구팀은 저해상도 이미지에 가우스 노이즈를 점차적으로 추가해가면서 순수한 노이즈가 될 때까지 가공한 후 이러한 노이즈들을 역으로 제거해나가는 과정을 학습시키는 확산 모델 ‘SR3(Super Resolution via Repeated Refinements)을 개발함으로써, 그러한 순수 노이즈 이미지로부터 원래 입력값보다 더 높은 해상도를 지닌 이미지를 추출하는 기법을 선보였습니다. 이 플레이리스트는 지난 여름 구매한 조그마한 모듈러 신디사이저로 장난 치듯 만들어본 사운드 텍스처들을 평소 즐겨듣는 곡들 12곡에 덧입혀, SR3이 구사하는 어법이 소리의 영역에도 적용될 수 있는가에 대한 실험 결과물입니다.

GoogleAI Team released a diffusion model named ‘SR3’, which abstracts high-resolution image from low-resolution image through adding gaussian noise and making it learn inverse denoising process. This playlist is one of results from an experiment to test that the logic of SR3 can be also applied in the area of sounds.
