Release Info: 
Motek Music's next release comes from Canada and artists Larose and Josef. Larose has been a regular Motek member from his time living in London and now having moved back home to Montreal has teamed up with Josef for this bold and punchy EP 'Light / Gate'. 'Light', the darker of the two has strong driving bass tones and an industrial feel within the synth sounds, whilst detuning vocals provide focal points and weight to the production. 'Gate' has a strong presence but with a lighter feel than 'Light'. More air in the string synths and guitar add space and a layer of atmosphere as syncopation in the snare and percussion create elements to grab on and dance too. The track is finished and given its forward pushing feel with a pulsing 16th note lead.

Remixing on this release we welcome Barber and Bonaca. Having had Barber as part of lineups on past events, we are very happy to welcome him to the label with his take on 'Light.' He has kept the track dark but added crisp and sharp beats sections intertwined with the space within the bass to give the music bounce. A rich production full of builds and intrigue with subtle fills and tricks to add to the depth and quality. Finally Bonaca has delivered a hypnotic version of 'Light'. Mysterious bell sounds move over warm low and high pads to create the foundation to which hints of the original come though. Strong driving bass lines along with the subtle rise and fall in the arrangement keep the track strong for the dance floor.

Hard to believe, but this is actually Olderic’s first solo EP on Connaisseur. After various collaborations, remixes and showcase participations, and as one of our radio show's hosts , the maestro from the CIRQ club near Venice has finally dropped a three-tracker all by himself on Connaisseur.  Straight up, you have definitely noticed at least one of the titles on   "The Secret Chambers EP“ in any one set of our Italian family lately, as all tracks have a very prominent sound design you'll easily recognize after having heard them but once. "Pyramid" is the peak time pleaser of the release, a proper 3am monster designed to create mayhem on the dancefloor. The touching "Hydre Intime“ will more likely find its place in the morning, while the dubby "Walking & Waiting“ is a genuine warm-up tune. A lovely package by a great artist.

YAKONA, a duo from Bristol contacted me some weeks, not knowing we were already working with their Bristol friends from Oleeva Records. Well, luckily the music stood out on its own : "Heights" is a melancholic techno production with very epic, wide & interesting synth sounds, which are played out with long tails and relatively minimalistic chord progressions, making the atmosphere playing the key role in this production. The bassons give it the perfect movie feel & make it one of our most special Premiere's yet.

YAKONA's "Heights" EP will arrive on the EMINENT-label, April 7th, exclusively on Traxsource. (April 21st on all other major stores)
