The mighty Siona Records is back with another big serving of melodic techno, this time from Pavel Khvaleev. The Russian is an international DJ and producer who has released on the likes of Black Hole Recordings. 

New tune Connect is epic and melodic, with frazzled bass and slick drums. It works to get you in a trance and then keep you there while the grooves roll on, with explosions of synth adding colour and a sense of futurism. 

This is a mighty new tune from the one and only Pavel Khvaleev.

Surfacing to release Steyoyoke Recordings next EP for 2015 is Tel Aviv based artist Ran Salman. Ran brings together an all original three track EP titled ’Anamnesis’, which culminates for his dedication and recent hard work in the studio.

The title track ‘Anamnesis’ depicts a whirlwind progression of energy and power, infiltrated with subtle accents and rich bass lines. There is a hidden darkness that resides within this track, but its presence is fleeting and can only be captured with a finely tuned awareness.

‘Lost Into You’ kicks off with the full brunt of some chunky techno beats, which quickly give way to an explosion of passionate melodies and esoteric sythns. All three of these elements cement the tracks bold vibe and reflects an unmistakable intrepidness that will capture your attention with ease.  

The third and final track ‘Tales’ was inspired to reflect past club experiences and fond dance floor moments. Ran sequences warm big room sounds with a break down that is both uplifting and captivating. ‘Tales’ stimulates the soul with its enchanting soundscapes and smooth grooves.

'It’s the turn of Brazilian producer Against The Time to deliver something special on Us & Them Records. The first track of the EP is called ‘Colider’, it’s a rather melancholic track with a haunting and intense vibe. The pace of the drums keeps the track going, even in the calmer parts of this beautiful soundscape. The second track called ‘Judgement’ is a more emotional cut. The track has less pace than Colider, that however does not mean it lacks dancefloor potential. Last but not least of the original mixes is ‘Vandal’. It’s a melodic track with lots of flowing elements that ultimately create a danceable groove. The main break cuts all the drums for maximum drama, but quickly returns to the tunnel where it came from.
The originals are accompanied by three remixes. First of there is the Colider remix by Paul Anthonee. It is a high-paced techno-bomb like the original, however the drums have a more aggressive feeling to them. Secondly there is the Voices of Valley remix of Judgement, which features the Greek duo’s unique style. The breakdown is where the duo really deliver something unique, huge emotional value leading up to a magnificent climax. The last remix of the EP is delivered by Altego on the track Vandal. It’s a hypnotic emotional track which relies on the main synth to lead the listener through its story. Well structured drums make sure that the track will stand its ground on the dancefloor and beyond.'

Jannowitz Records has prepared the ultimate EP, composed of five peak-time dance floor fillers by no one less than JAW label boss BOHO himself. For this particular release BOHO asked new and old friends, artists that he looks up to, sees as inspiration or just discovered recently, to join him in the studio. To put it as simple as possible: "Overkill" EP is a compilation of five thoroughly selected co-productions. 

With Brazilian superstar duo TouchTalk and Light Breath there are two more artists that have been working closely with Jannowitz Records. The former had already contributed Drifter EP this year, the latter firstly appeared on the label back in 2016 with a stellar remix for Cliff De Zoete. Both their tracks with BOHO highlight the sexy side of electronic music in very different but in a way similar approaches. BOHO x TouchTalk - Wet Pants will make you wet your pants with its peak time potential and big room flair. BOHO x Light Breath on the other hand is way deeper and darker for those of you who enjoy the typical Jannowitz sound.
