In original form, ‘State of Mind’ is a deep vocal cut with a visceral message of second chances. The sparse percussive framework of the track belies the depth of sound design in the arps, airy pads and sweeps. On remix duties, D-Nox and Michael Hooker construct a driving, late night dub that builds on the originals melodics, teasing the vocal throughout. While Riascode completely rebuilds his remix with subtle tribal influences for an early hours blow out.'
