Frankfurt has been responsible for some of house music’s finest artists and record labels and Christian Burkhardt and Sascha Dive are indisputably one of the German city’s most longstanding players having made appearances on labels like 8bit, Bondage Music, Cocoon, Raum…musik and Pressure Traxx. This release is an exhibition of mesmerising deep house from a pair of the genre’s experts. ‘Forward’ features soaring pads, scintillating atmospherics, a heady bassline and tribal stabs, whilst ‘Backward’ is more twisted with its snappy snares, muffled hook and distorted vocals. Finally, Per Hammar adds extra thump to the drums for a remix that swings, bringing the female voice to the front as numerous atmospheric effects come into play.'
