Head honchos Elfenberg are back with another EP on their imprint. This is one of many, and what will be a busy year for the duo. What corona and cancelled gigs took away in 2020, Elfenberg will make up for in 2021, starting with this beautifully crafted 4-tracker. The EP is a housey tribute to their hometown of Stockholm. 3 original love stories plus a groovy remix from no other than Stockholm based house maestro Art Alfie. The release will be available both digital and on an eye-catching limited midnight blue 12" vinyl with a zoetrope stop-motion label design of a flying raven.

'BGM8S member Divad is back to celebrate the re-opening op the Copenhagen nightlife with his new single “Heat Up Your Body” on the 10th of September. The single is the first of many releases to come out from him in the second half of 2021.

“Heat Up Your Body” is a breakbeat, housey tune for the clubs. Inspired by classic house recordings and old school US west-coast hip hop, this tune sets a fresh and fun vibe. Low-pitched vocals [red. Divads own] talking over a playful baseline, battling with the busy drums. Fender Rhodes piano chords making a floating foundation, while a sharp, classic west-coast synthesizer is wilding out on the top of the mix.
“Heat Up Your Body” will be released on the 10th of September by BGM8S Collective. Divad will be performing at the legendary “Culture Box” club in Copenhagen on the same date, alongside Chris Stussy and Hedo Hydr8. so if around, make sure to come down and hear it on the floor. '

The upbeat 'You' flips the vibe with more textural synths, pixelated leads and smeared chords. The drums are heavy but have funk in their heels and when a wordless vocal loop and bright pads arrive after the atmospheric breakdown, pure joy is sure to wash over any crowd.

After Jepe’s heavily rotated “Ginevra”, we welcome Alex Aguayo and Silicodisco back to AEON with their debut EP, called “Modern Nostalgia”.
With this unification, they wanted to experiment a little bit with both of their vibes and ideas.
Keeping characteristic elements such as the (Synth Wave) reminding drums and basslines that they have been playing with in some of their latest releases, they set a basis. Adding a little melancholic spark and nostalgic Italo bits with the synthesis and some dreamy chords and leads, Alex Aguayo and Silicodisco created an EP that is perfect to praise the end of a hot summer.

Electronic group Pale Blue returns to Damian Lazarus' label Crosstown Rebels. Dive stems from the pair's upcoming album on the imprint, which will drop next year. Remixes from Fort Romeau and Rebolledo feature on the EP, adding another layer to the shoegaze-tinged tune. 

Mike Simonetti talks about the theme of the track. "'Dive' is a breakup song. It's about when the person you are living with becomes a stranger," he says. "Musically, 'Dive' is an experiment in polyrhythms and textures; the music has a lot of movement, yet Elizabeth's vocals are stoic throughout. The music represents the chaos of the relationship, and her voice is the calm realization of self." The title track opens with Elizabeth's soft vocals and a dreamy synthline, evoking a hazy but potent soundscape. On Fort Romeau's remix, the Oxfordshire native offers a Tranceadelic Mix of the track, combining tribal-flecked percussion with an understated bassline, allowing Elizabeth's lyrics to dominate the atmosphere. Rebolledo pens an acid melody and transposes Elizabeth's vocals to an alien-like pitch—perfect for a tripped-out listen. 

Jersey-born Mike Simonetti is one half of the musical group Pale Blue and the founder of labels Troubleman, Italians Do It Better and 2MR. With over two decades of experience working as a producer and DJ, Mike has released disparate sounds on Crosstown Rebels, Correspondent and several more, building the reputation of a versatile artist who avoids the limelight and instead focuses on making dance music with depth. In 2020, Pale Blue’s track I Walk Alone With Acid landed in Pitchfork’s The 30 Best Electronic Music Releases of 2020 and The 100 Best Songs of 2020. US-born Elizabeth Wight is a vocalist and the other half of Pale Blue. No matter the project she's working on, her vocals add different layers to electronic music, creating a signature mood that only she knows how. I Walk Alone With Acid remains one of the most striking records in her evolving discography. UK-born Fort Romeau merges the tones of house, kraut, ambient, disco, and techno across his work, releasing on Permanent Vacation, Mesh and more. His album Beings of Light dropped on Ghostly International earlier this year, affirming his status as an innovative artist. Mexican DJ and producer Rebolledo is one-half of the electronic duo Pachanga Boys, but as a solo artist, his sound bounces between sun-kissed house and strutting disco. Tracks on Correspondent and Hippie Dance highlight his boundless approach as a producer.

The debut E.P of Philipp Stoya, who might be recognized from his appearances on some Various Artists – 12“s on Compost Black Label, is a testimonial of love, his love to his wife, whose name is the EP’s title, his love to music in general, giving birth to this record and his love to electric pianos and synths, such as the Fender Rhodes and the Roland Juno 106, which sounds give the tracks on the record an unique flair and atmosphere.

His remix for Madpac’s „Angry Nerds“ is sheer bliss and also part of the „Michael Reinboth Favorites“ on the COMPOST 500 compilation.
