We're chuffed to finally have Daniel Avery contribute music to the label, and it was well worth the wait. Dan liked the original album and jumped on board to remix the title track, even though we didn't have the stems. Despite that, he captures the vibe of the 'Lady Burning Sky' original and propulses it way out of this world, in a space that is uniquely his. 'Australian artist Jozef Conor is back on his Jozzman Trax imprint this July with three original cuts, including a remix from SOMA.

Riding on a high off the back of his debut album, Jozef Conor has gone from strength to strength in 2021. Jozef has dropped a slew of releases on his label and other prominent international purveyors, in addition to some pumping club gigs for those lucky enough to get around it in Melbourne. Building on a healthy schedule for 2021, Jozzman Trax label boss Jozef Conor brings the underground house sound with his labels sixth release entitled 'Be Right There' with a remix from Sydney born and internationally raised artist SOMA.

Both the title track 'Be Right There' and 'Nothing New' are bouncy, yet stripped-back house cuts, peppered with '90s themed vocals and swinging percussion, all with Jozef Conor's signature earth- shaking vibrations. SOMA's remix of 'Be Right There' sings true to the original whilst offering euphoric washes, dreamy pads and breezy grooves.'

'ADRIANZA & Cordero link up for a pair of fantastic new singles on the ever excellent Adrianza Records label, while man of the moment and Cuttin' Headz affiliate Jean Pierre and House Keepers Records owners MEEN serve up fine remixes.

Drinking Up goes first and is a slick, driving tech house cut with funk deep in its bones. The rattling percussion is lively and dynamic and the shuffling drums really get you drawn in deep. Add in the turbo charge baseline and you have a real standout. The Jean Pierre Remix is super slick, with spaced out pads, tripped out melodic details and a paired back electronic house groove that cannot fail to get the floor moving.

Dying in Ecstasy then explores another deep but driving and dynamic house groove that comes with neon chords and a relentless sense of futuristic vibes that is nice and fresh next to the spoken word vocal sounds. Dying In Ecstasy (MEEN Remix) closes out with a more heady house feeling - razor sharp drums, steamy vocal whispers and driving house funk.

This is a killer EP once again from all.'

Both artists spoke about the inspiration behind the release, stating: “Bleeping In Me is about deep expression; Euphoria is about exploring melodies and simplicity; and the idea behind Otaku 1996 was to make a cool track straight out of Detroit in the nineties.”

The title track leads the charge, taking the form of a slow-building, minimal-toned number as subtle hats build upon punchy, whip-like kicks. Euphoria soon arrives, pairing emotive key solos next to resonant synth combos before Otaku 1996 completes proceedings. The eight minute piece leaves few prisoners in its wake, manifesting as a late-night, club-ready cut that’s built purely for the dancefloor.

Dachshund has been a regular of Switzerland's club circuit for decades. Having co-found Clapper alongside fellow Swiss-talent Quenum, the imprint acts as an outlet for solely self-made productions, whilst Dachshund has also found a welcome home on Nick Curly’s 8bit and Audiojack’s Gruuv to name a few. From playing his first gig abroad at the iconic Panorama Bar, to mixing number 201 of RA’s coveted mix series, Chaton has remained a pillar of quality electronic music since the early 2000’s. His own label, Plak Records, has been a bastion of contemporary minimal techno for twenty years and he continues such a legacy thanks to his recently launched vinyl only imprint, Useless Transmissions.
