I’m extra stoked on this artwork made by none other than VURP VISUALS. It was mind blowing to have Vic whip up this insane piece of art, and wild video to pair with it. I couldn’t be happier with everything regarding this EP.

This truly has been a very long time coming. I honestly didn’t know if these tunes would ever come out. I wanna say most of them started around late 2021 or early 2022. These songs have seen the test of time – 3 different homes, various life changes and speedbumps, and a short hiatus… and I still love them so dearly.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been by my side through this crazy journey. It’s wild to say I’ve been playing shows and releasing music for the past 10 years. It’s only been completely life changing…

recovery minimix

This opening track is very special to me. It’s truly a culmination of some of my biggest musical influences in my life. I wanted to open the EP off with some very abrasive. I feel like I’ve always envisioned some sort of metal / bass music crossover, but never had the balls to even attempt it. Well I think I’ve at least tried with this one 😊 The logo finally makes sense now…

XxWooKxCorExX

Another one that just starts out with a bang.  I considered adding any sort of… intro, for quite a while. Over time, I just came to grow and love the song for the way it is. A lot of the EP turned out that way honestly. Huge focus here on crunchy sound design, goofy ahh melodies, and just a fun tune to write and play.

Melodee

This may be one of my personal favorites. A nod back to the 87bpm glitch-hopping-swing-bounce tunes I used to write so often. Except, the main sample is yours truly. From ad libs to chords, I wanted the main focus to be around… “yeah”. I really enjoy chopping up samples, and super dumb and silly samples especially. I think it’s a really fun tune 😊

YEAH

One of the goofiest in my opinion. A majority of the bass sound design was just my 7 string Ibanez guitar. I really wanted to make a distorted mudpie of chugs and guitar feedback, and see where it led to. Well, this is what we got! This was also a very very fun song to make. That’s why I’m so stoked to just put these tunes out.

Bright. Slightly off beat. Maybe a tad bit raunchy. I’ve been so hype on this tune for quite a long time. It’s been through many versions, iterations, and mixdowns. Another personal classic to me, and another tune that still has me shocked to actually be releasing. I really hope y'all enjoy this one.

Clowns And Noodles

And now we have the closer. I wanted to spread out the 140 tunes on this EP, as a solid half of them are dubstep smackers. This one was a favorite amongst my homies and I tried to keep the same raw energy that it had when I first started it. Aggressive sound design, goofy ass samples, this one has it all. A perfect closer for the EP in my opinion.
