At the end of 2020, I played this set on The Detour Drive, The Funk Hunter's weekly stream on Twitch. I dug into my crates for some of my favorite jams that likely wouldn’t make it into any other mixes. From funk to feel-good house to a bunch of classics, this mix has a bit of everyone to enjoy. This is my tribute to the one and only Pumpkin. He inspired me, one late summer afternoon, when I stumbled upon his live set at LIB in 2012. From then on, I made sure to catch every live show of his that I possibly could & every damn time the energy I felt on the dance floor was better than any other dance floor. It was always packed with many, many smiling faces full of new & old friends, brought together. History in the making - I knew right then and there that this is what it was all about. After hearing of his tragic passing in 2016, I felt a strong calling to carry on the duty of spreading love on the dance floor. It was at that point, when I started taking DJing more seriously on a more public scale. So this is for you, the fans, the ones who never got to know who he was, and Nick the Neck, up there in the sky, dancing in paradise. 🌰

Rampue - Live At Robot Heart - Burning Man 2015

The tribute set I put together for my Thursday afternoon set at The Stump N Stone Stage. First half is a Pumpkin Tribute and the second half is a Jon H Tribute. This was a very challenging project and I am so excited to say that this is the one take, live recording of the set live at Tall Tree. Jon and Nick are two of my biggest influences in DJ'ing, not only for what they do behind turntables/controllers, but the way the present themselves in a daily manner. We miss and love you both so much. And extra props to Qdup, Everyman and Tuck In Tyler for helping facilitate lots of the music used in this mix and for providing vocal recordings that are used in the mix. Put your hearts up for Nick and Jon, you will always live on through your music!

This was the last show we performed and are honored to share this at a time of global uncertainty and a crises where music feels more important than ever before. Mt. Doyle has been a staple DJ on the west coast for many years now. His styles range from drum and bass, funk, house, hip-hop, and bass music. He is not one to sit quietly, continually pushing his music at festivals and clubs all over the West coast. Show after show, his style and presence have been making a significant impact, moving him forward to what is sure to be a bright future.
