I loved getting the chance to play at this club. Concréte has such an awesome crowd and a great atmosphere. 

I played this night on the invitation of Josh Wink, one of my favorite people a big influence and a stellar DJ and producer. He was celebrating the 20 year milestone for his label Ovum, and I was happy to join him. 

Josh was nice enough to record part of my set for me, and this is the last 2 hours.

Kobosil is one of the new wave of artists to have emerged under the wing of Berghain. As well as being a resident at the club, the Berlin DJ and producer has also released on its in house labels Ostgut Ton and Unterton, as well as on fellow resident Marcel Dettmann’s own eponymous imprint. His dark, heavy sound also gave rise to a debut full length earlier this year, and with its clear focus on big linear drums and shadowy atmospheres, it proved he is here to stay. Now, the boss of his own RK label steps up to our series with a similarly impressive mix. 

Starting out in frazzled and dystopian fashion, the mix wastes little time in setting a high impact, high tempo techno agenda. Overdriven percussion and lurching synths, wild machine sounds and thumping drums are all hurried and forceful and encourage you to lean right into the grooves, head down, stomping away. It is a powerful and maximal one hour selection that cannot fail to get your attention.

Varying repetitive beats, wondrous minimalistic themes and a strong bass line – Iris Menza is bringing home tech-house and techno’s most exhilarating dance tracks.

Raised in the proximity of Belgian’s metropolis Antwerp and aroused by the atmosphere created by underground club-DJ’s Iris Menza got drawn to the DJ-booth.

Iris’ sets are inspiring explorations and brings in a fresh vibe to modern day Tech-House and techno influenced by record labels such as Rekids, Dame Music, Moan, Kote Records, Kompakt, Lazerslut, Frucht, 1Trax, Ostgut Ton to name a few. Time after time she succeeds in creating an atmosphere some adherents describe as “magical”.

Steadily her influence on the scene is expanding, in Belgium as well as internationally. Recently Iris participated Fire In The Disco agency in Amsterdam. Her success has led her to play at much appreciated gigs in Italy, Geneva (Swiss) Germany, France and Holland.

Recently Iris has been visiting more often the city of Berlin where she performs at legendary venues such as Golden Gate and Sisyphos. Her music, performance and persona fit perfectly into the vibe not only of these venues but the entire city.

The mix was record live at the legendary club Café d’Anvers in Antwerp, where literally all the characters that define the dance music scene today, have set foot before. This time it was Iris’ turn to amaze the demanding Belgian crowd.

After multiple years having gig’s on Thursday and Fridays in Belgium’s house & techno underground scene and playing thousands of hours all over, moving along wicked eastern European countries & Russian federation resorts FRED HUSH decided to work on his production skills. Since, his music productions are released multiple times on Green Velvet’s Relief Records, Marco Bailey’s Materia, Emmanuel Top his Fokalm label, Sonar Kollektiv & the infamous Rushhour Records from Amsterdam.

He is releasing nowadays on the mythic record label Cherry Moon. A Belgian cult nightlife techno symbol.

Mark Broom, R.O.D., Green Velvet, Oliver Deutschmann did remixes on his music.

With his productions and dj skills FRED HUSH proves he can play very large and with much variation from acid to techno with a twist of disco and ad’s his proper color of music.

Seven times now he played for Tomorrowland at Josh Wink his stage, Solomun’s  Diynamic area, Sven Vath his vinyl Cocoon stage and their own Tomorrowland Atmosphere stage.

FRED HUSH Co - Hosted the Magazine Club stage & King Kong stage @ Ostend Beach Festival. He was a guest artist @ Babylon Festival Australia, OZORA Hungary, Elrow @ Extrema outdoor, Solidays Paris, Nature One Germany & Aquasella Asturias.

He was also present @ Griessmuehle and Ipse Berlin, Rex Paris, Corvin Club Budapest, Space and Pacha Ibiza, and many other similar places.

He holds his proper clubs nights @ Magazine Club France & King Kong Club Belgium. Recently he performs on the brand new nights @ Belgium’s longest running techno club Lagoa.

Frequently FRED HUSH is performing at big nights in Belgium’s number one nightclub called Kompass in Ghent.
